Among the strange explanations police have heard on Victorian roads:
“EVERYONE else in the car is too drunk,” one driver told an inner-city officer.
“I FEEL my drink was spiked late in the night,” said another.
“COME TO my house and we’ll show you how to drink,” said a man who blew 0.26.
ONE male driver explained he thought he was looking out for his girlfriend passenger by driving with a blood alcohol reading over 0.1. He told police: “I needed to get my girlfriend home safely.”
